Project description

The City of Bijeljina plans the "1st Bijeljina-Agenda 2030-Festival". Within this action we pave the way with and for all relevant stakeholders in the City of Bijeljina to do a sound preparation and then realisation of this first green event in the region. Capacity building of a broad range of citizens to tell the success-story of their sustainable city with and in the city itself is the core of this project.

Objectives and results

The objectives are to support the City of Bijeljina, members of NGOs in the city, young persons and all other interested persons in the planning the "1st Bijeljina-Agenda 2030-Festival“. The participants of the action will gain knowledge of planning and realisation of an event with the focus on collaborative management and planning of green event management.

Expected results
- establishment of a working group in Bijeljina who will be the nucleo of preparation and realisation of the festival
- successfully held WS with first ideas on design and programme of the festival
- persons who participated at the workshop know about the chances and requirements of realising a Green Event and get a knowledge on event planning in general.

Implemented activities

Act. 1: Establishment of structures for the implementation of the Bijeljina festival as a green event with the aim to get a big picture on who are relevant stakeholders and support the establishment of a working group consisting of representatives from various areas in the city.
Act. 2: Planning of a two-days-workshop
Act. 3: Two-Days-Workshop – Green Events and Agenda 2030 in Bijeljina
Act. 4: Final catalogue of recommendations for the planning and realisation of the Bijeljina Festival. This will be a road map, with the focus on features necessary for realising a Green Event and oriented along the possibilities of the city.
