Objectives and results

The objective of the action is to support Serbian municipalities in implementing renewable energy projects, using the case study of the biomass district heating in the municipality of Titel.
The actions represents a combination of training/workshop on project development and project finance for district heating projects on the one hand and the work on a concrete project for the Municipality of Titel on the other hand; combining theoretical knowledge with practical results.

Expected results:
- description and analysis of status quo and existing feasibility study for the Titel disctrict heating project;
- development of financing ideas and opportunities;
- definition of next steps; presentation material on project financing for renewable energy projects.

Implemented activities

Activities to be implemented:
Activity 1: Case Study Analysis of District Heating Project in Titel based on the existing Feasibility Study
Activity 2: Evaluation and Actual Status of Existing Project
Activity 3: Training/Workshop on Project Finance for Renewable Energy and Public Private Partnerships (PPP)
Activity 4: Organisation of a 3 days event for training and work on the proposed project
Activity 5: Identification of possible financing opportunities.
