Smart Digital City Pilot - Municipality of Sombor
Project description
The municipality of Sombor, Serbia, has taken a significant step towards digital transformation with the implementation of the Smart Digital City pilot project under the BACID III framework. This initiative aims to enhance urban living through innovative smart parking management system and air quality monitoring solutions, directly addressing key challenges faced by residents. A thorough needs assessment was conducted to identify pressing issues related to parking and traffic-related air pollution. By collaborating with local government officials, the public parking company, and other key stakeholders, the project team gathered essential insights to tailor solutions to Sombor’s specific needs! The smart parking management system is designed to optimize parking availability, reduce congestion, and improve traffic flow.
