NALAS Digitalisation Working Group Meeting

On March 30th and 31st, 2023, the first official in-person meeting of the NALAS Digitalisation Working Group took place in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. The Digitalisation Working Group consists of representatives of local governments and local government associations (LGAs); among the participants were representatives from NALAS member associations and KDZ's representatives. The meeting addressed various topics, including best practices in digital transformation, smart city initiatives, intergovernmental dialogue, alignment of local, national, and EU-level strategies, funding opportunities, and partnerships with academia, private companies, innovative companies, and start-ups. NALAS, in cooperation with KDZ, will drive and support the digitalisation on a local level in cities and municipalities in the coming years and bring together representatives for digitalisation in local government associations and cities. The Digitalisation Working Group will work on:
- know how exchange,
- capacity building,
- municipal digitalisation strategies,
- digitalisation studies,
- digitalisation pilots on two cities
- and smart city indicators.
Further activities are planned for the Digitalization Working Group in the coming months!
